Trees benefit our environment and health in many ways. Unfortunately, a lack of green space prevents many communities of color from experiencing these benefits.

With the help of music superstar and activist, SZA, along with conservation non-profit American Forests, we launched The TAZO Tree Corp. This locally hired, paid workforce is dedicated to reforesting BIPOC neighborhoods across the U.S. They’ll help plant and maintain trees within these communities to ensure equal access to all the benefits they provide, while also creating a positive economic and workforce impact.
Soon after our launch video hit SZA’s Instagram, we gained major attention from a number of high-profile celebrities and groups including a Michigan state senator, WE THE URBAN, and the World Economic Forum. By the end of launch, our video had generated approximately 1 billion earned impressions, 1.3 million organic views, and 463 total earned placements.
